I thought about a few different things to write about for my first sports post, but the video I watched yesterday made my decision easy. The video I am referring to is the one shot after the Miami Heat shootaround before Thursday's game 5. It shows LeBron James and Dwyane Wade openly mocking Dirk Nowitzki about having the flu. They both covered their mouths with their shirts, much like Nowitzki had done at his press conference, and they pretended to cough and act sick. They did everything short of calling him a liar about being sick. This is just the latest reason to hate the Miami Heat and especially these two clowns. LeBron and Wade have a lot of nerve to openly accuse someone of faking an injury. These two are more dramatic than just about anyone in the league when it comes to "being hurt" Just last year, as soon as the playoffs started, all of of sudden LeBron had an elbow "injury" and he played to the dramatics so much that he even shot a free throw left handed because his right elbow was "hurt too bad." He grimaced every time the camera was on him, and without saying it, made sure people were aware he was favoring that elbow. And don't even get me started on Dwyane Wade. That guy is on the ground more than anyone else in every game he plays. He flops all over the place any time he gets touched, including when he grabbed his eye after flopping to the floor at the end of game 2 when his half court attempt at the buzzer missed. This is the same guy who once hurt his shoulder and had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair; talk about theatrics. Dirk never said anything about his flu, everyone else made a big deal of it, and yes the media went a bit overboard as they tend to do, but for LeBron and Wade to make fun of Dirk for that was about as childish and petty as you can get. James and Wade are the equivalent of a school bully who picks on you to try to make himself feel better. It doesn't surprise me, but like I said, it's just the latest of many reasons to hate the Miami Heat. Miami is the better team in this series in my opinion, and should have won the title already. If karma has anything to do with it, however, they will have to watch Dirk celebrate on their home floor while they sit and wait for next year.

Intro
So to start off, I guess I should forewarn everyone that this is my first time ever doing something like this. I didn't receive any help in setting this up, so if it's messed up in any way, I apologize. The next thing I'll tell you is that the purpose of this blog is pretty much for me to express my thoughts and opinions on different issues in sports. As all of you who know me are aware, I have a great passion for sports and I also have many opinions about them :) Too many times I want to share these opinions, but don't have a platform to do so, hence the blog. If anyone has any comments or suggestions feel free to leave them. If any of you know anyone who is interested in reading about sports, feel free to pass this along as well.
With that being said, my first entry will be just to tell you a little about myself. I am 25 years old, happily married with two beautiful daughters, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Utah. I am in the process of starting a career in Public Relations and hope to do so for a professional sports team, preferably baseball. I have always had a great passion for any and all things sports. I am sure I drive my family crazy with it at times, but it's just who I am.
I look forward to writing my thoughts and opinions for anyone who cares to read, and also look forward to hearing what you think. And also if anyone has any tips on how to make the blog look better or anything, please let me know. Like I said, this is my first time attempting anything like this.
